LifeEdit

Chihaya grew up with her little brother, Yuu Kisaragi, and also didn't seem to be close with either of her parents. Her parents are also seen arguing and later divorce after Yuu's death.

Chihaya was very close with her little brother, and witnessed his death, unable to rescue him. She goes through a period where she blames herself for his death and convinces herself that she needs to become an idol (leading her to join 765 Pro) and sing for Yuu, as he loved to listen to her sing and would often ask her to do so for him.

After a malicious report is made on the incident of Yuu's death, Chihaya loses her ability to sing due to psychological issues. Haruka, whom Chihaya formed a close bond with over their time working together, convinces Chihaya to return to being an idol and allows her to regain her voice with the support of other members from the agency.

Idolm@ster 1 & 2 games, animeEdit

Chihaya works as an idol for the 765 agency. She started working for 765 at age fifteen, while still was in tenth grade. She takes her work very seriously, making her the most mature and most skilled member of 765’s idol troupe, but she’s somewhat awkward in dealing with others. She prefers to brand herself as a vocalist rather than an idol. She’s also not too happy with her small bust size, often appearing envious amidst bustier colleagues such as Takane Shijō. In her spare time, she listens to classical music.

Her parents are divorced, the death of her younger brother eight years before having driven a wedge between them. Her voice actor is Asami Imai in Japanese, and is Michael Reisz in a United States of America.

Idolm@ster:XenoglossiaEdit

Chihaya is the Idolmaster (pilot) of Prometheus-3 Nubilium, working for Triavita, Mondenkind’s rival organization.

Angry and vindictive, Chihaya covets the Prometheus-1 Imber, which she piloted when she worked for Mondenkind, and seeks to eliminate its new pilot Haruka Amami.

The Xenoglossia Chihaya has an entirely different personality from the Chihaya of the games and other anime, so much so that some reviewers don’t even consider the two Chihayas to be the same character. One fanart even depicts the two encountering each other in a cemetery.

Her voice actor is Kaori Shimizu.
